What it is about

“Construcciones identitarias. Work in progress” is a photographic and written project by Mar C. Llop about the processes of constructing trans* identity. It brings together portraits and texts from more than seventy people and is organised in four parts: Conceptos, Personas, Vínculos and EnTránsito.

It does not propose a single path, nor does it give instructions. It gathers different experiences, with their bodies, their bonds and their own timing.

The author

Mar C. Llop (Barcelona, 1967–2022) was a photographer and trans activist. Her work covered gender diversity, portraiture, fashion and architecture. She died on 25 February 2022.
